About
the artist
Born in Waregem on May 1st, 1985, Tom always had a passion for working with his hands from a very young age. He pursued this interest by studying to become a carpenter, gaining valuable knowledge in building and construction. However, as he continued searching for his true calling in life, his goals changed.
He eventually completed his studies as a nurse and worked in operations for six years. Despite this career shift, his passion for creativity remained strong. He chose to become an independent contractor specialising in total renovation, utilising his wealth of knowledge to express his creativity through hands-on work.
As he continued to sketch, draw and put his creative thoughts on paper it became clear to him that he needed to make this a reality.
And in 2023….
his art came to life.
Becoming an artist is not a decision, in fact it’s a hunger to go for what you really love. And that hunger becomes so overwhelming that it consumes you. And you just cannot ignore it.
I've always been a dreamer and knew that I wanted to create art that represents life.
Life with purpose.
The inspiration behind my artwork are the people, paths and struggles that allow humans to evaluate their perspectives in life. Through my art, I try to tap into the human condition and the ability to see things differently.
Not everything is as it seems. It's only when a person can look deeper and with greater intensity that they can then understand another perspective.
In 2023 I decided to share my dream with the world…
